Mannat Noor’s Laung Laachi feat Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa becomes the 1st Indian song to hit 1 billion on YouTube

Laung Laachi featuring Ammy Virk and Neeru Bajwa becomes India’s first song to hit 1 billion views

In less than two years after its release on February 21, 2018, Punjabi song Laung Laachi from the 2018 Punjabi film of the same name has hit 1 billion views on YouTube. Laung Laachi has become the first Indian music video to achieve such a feat. The wildly popular song features Ammy Virk, Neeru Bajwa and Amberdeep. The music of the song is by Gurmeet Singh and has been sung by Mannat Noor.

Such is the popularity of this song that it was recreated in Luka Chuppi starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, which released earlier this year. There have been a few songs that have collectively hit 1 billion view count as in with their main song, lyrical and audio. But this is the sole Indian song to hit the mark. However, it is not the most-watched Indian video on YouTube, that feat belongs to a couple of nursery rhymes by kids YouTube channel – ChuChu TV.
